Homemade Play Dough

I got this great recipe from The Frugal Girls.
Elle has been playing with it since May and it is still just as soft and smooth as the day I made it.  (Although, Kristi does give a tip that if it does dry out a bit, just add a few drops of water to it.)
Ingredients:

1 cup Flour
1 C. Water

2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1/2 cup Salt
1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
Food Coloring (optional)
Any flavor extract that matches with your colors (optional)

In a sauce pan, mix flour, water, cream of tartar, salt, and vegetable oil.  Then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. The mixture almost looks like you messed something up, don't worry you didn't. Just keep mixing.

Your mixture will begin to form into a solid, and gather on the spoon.
Remove your blob of play dough from the heat and place on a piece of wax paper and let cool.

Once cool, poke a hole in the center and add a few drops of food coloring & extract to your blob.  Mix around until color is consistent throughout.  I used rubber gloves so that I didn't dye my hands.
You could divide the dough and do a few different colors, I just created green.
I stored my play dough in a zip baggie and leave it in the cupboard when not in use.  Seriously this stuff is AWESOME!  Enjoy
