Easter Basket Scavenger Hunt

When both my hubby and I were little (okay and grown too), our mothers would always hide our Easter baskets on Easter morning. Nick's mom would always make a scavenger hunt out of it using riddles. 
Nick and I wanted to start this tradition with Elle. I cut out four paper Easter eggs using Doodle Charms on my Cricut.  I used progressively bigger eggs that I got from Hobby Lobby.


We will start by giving her an egg and a small paper egg that states: In this egg holds the clue to where you’ll find egg number two.

Inside the egg, will be a $5 bill and the clue: Where would you like to drive today? Your little car will know, to find egg number three it is there you must go.

 Inside her Little People Car will be an even larger egg with the clue: Now take your car for a ride to where mommy washes clothes and look inside. (This egg will also have a coloring book and crayons inside of it.)

Again she will find an even larger egg with inside the washer with the clue: The last big egg may be in the place where we wash your clothes, but your basket is where you wash your toes. (In her bathtub) This last egg will hold two stuffed Easter bunnies!

 Obviously at this stage, we will be reading the cards and taking her to each place!  But a great idea for new readers/non-readers is to take pictures of the place that the eggs will be in and put that on the paper egg, along with the words that describe where it is.  Make it a little more difficult for your older ones.  Maybe make them answer some trivia questions to get the clue.
